§ 1 Scope and Relationship to the Terms

  1. These Special License Terms apply to contracts for software for local installation that 1More UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kienberger Allee 4, 12529 Schönefeld, Germany ("1More") licenses through its product websites and customer portals.
  2. They are special agreements within the meaning of clause 2.4 of the 1More terms and supplement them. Unless otherwise provided here, the terms apply.
  3. A service description applies to each product (Annex 1). It determines in particular the license models offered, device binding, the offline period, the system requirements and the data transmitted on activation (terms 2.5).
  4. In the event of contradictions, the order of precedence under clause 2.4 of the terms applies.

§ 2 Definitions

TermMeaning
LicenseThe right to use the software to the agreed extent (terms 7.1).
License keyThe character string with which a license is activated on a device.
DeviceA physical or virtual computer on which the software is installed and activated.
ActivationUnlocking the software on a device with the license key via the 1More license server.
Customer accountThe customer's account in the customer portal of the respective product.
SubscriptionA license for a term against recurring payment.
PassA time-limited license against a one-time payment within the meaning of terms 7.2, which ends at the end of its term without notice and does not renew.
Permanent licenseA local right of use without time limit against a one-time payment (terms 7.2).
UpdateA version with bug fixes, security corrections or minor improvements within the same major version.
UpgradeA new major version with a substantially extended range of functions.

§ 3 License Models

  1. 1More may offer software as a subscription, as a pass or as a permanent license. Which models exist for a product, at what price and with what term follows from the service description and the order summary.
  2. Pass: The term begins with the first activation of the license on a device and ends automatically. Each purchase has its own full term; the terms of several purchases are not combined and not calculated pro rata. An extension requires a new purchase.
  3. Subscription: Term, renewal, termination, price adjustment and the consequences of payment default are governed by clauses 8 and 10 of the terms.
  4. Permanent license: The right of use applies without time limit (terms 7.2).
  5. A free license may have a restricted range of functions; details are given in the service description.

§ 4 Scope of Use, Devices and Device Changes

  1. The customer may use the software only for their own purposes. Companies affiliated with the customer (Section 15 German Stock Corporation Act, AktG) need their own licenses. Use at events that the customer runs on behalf of third parties also counts as own use; the software may not be made available to third parties in the process.
  2. The service description determines whether a license is bound to devices or to persons and how many devices per license may be activated at the same time.
  3. Device binding: The license belongs to the customer account. The customer decides on which devices to use it; persons do not have to be named.
  4. Person binding: A license may be assigned to only one person at a time. Reassignment is permitted if the previous person no longer uses the software. A change for the mere purpose of letting more persons use the software than licenses were bought is not permitted.
  5. Device change: The customer can release an activated device in the software, with an internet connection, or through support and activate the license on another device. The service description may limit the number of changes within a period.
  6. The customer acquires further licenses through a new purchase at the prices then applicable.

§ 5 Activation and License Check

  1. The software must be activated with the license key before first use. An internet connection is required for this. The customer portal shows the key.
  2. After activation, the device receives a digitally signed license file. With it, the software runs without an internet connection for the offline period stated in the service description; after that, it must connect to the license server again. The offline period does not extend the term of a time-limited license.
  3. The customer keeps the license key secret (terms 4.3). If the customer learns that a third party knows or uses the key, they inform 1More without undue delay; 1More then issues a new key and may block the old one.
  4. 1More may temporarily block a license key if it is misused, in particular in the case of use beyond the licensed scope. Clause 10.5 of the terms applies to the conditions, extent and information.
  5. If a purchase is fully refunded, the licenses acquired with it are blocked.
  6. If 1More intends to shut down the license server permanently, 1More announces this to customers with a permanent license in text form at least three months in advance and, before the shutdown, provides them with a license file without expiry date with which the software can continue to be used without a license check.

§ 6 Restrictions of Use

Unless agreed or permitted by law, it is not permitted to

  • rent or lend the software or otherwise make it available to third parties for use;
  • provide the software to third parties as a hosted service;
  • circumvent, disable or modify activation, the license check or other technical protection measures;
  • remove or alter copyright notices, trademarks or serial numbers.

The acts permitted by law under Sections 69d and 69e of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) remain permitted (terms 7.3).

§ 7 Transfer of Licenses

  1. Permanent license: The statutory resale rights under clause 7.4 of the terms remain unaffected; the consent of 1More is not required. So that the acquirer can activate the license, 1More transfers it to the acquirer's customer account upon notification by the seller.
  2. Pass and subscription: The rights may be transferred to third parties only with the prior consent of 1More in text form. 1More will not unreasonably refuse consent, for example in the case of a sale of a business.

§ 8 Updates and Support

  1. During the term of a subscription or pass, the customer receives all updates at no additional cost. Upgrades to a new major version are not included (terms 6.2).
  2. For a permanent license, the service description states for how long updates are provided.
  3. The statutory update obligations towards consumers (terms 6.1 and 6.3) remain unaffected.
  4. 1More provides support by e-mail to the support address stated in the service description or through the support area in the customer portal, in German and English. Fixed support and response times are not guaranteed.

§ 9 Data on Activation and License Check

  1. On activation, checking and release of a license, 1More as controller processes the license key and details of the device: a device identifier, the device name, the platform and the app version. The data are used to check the license and to enforce the device limit. Details are given in the 1More privacy policy.
  2. Further data, such as usage statistics or crash reports, are transmitted only in accordance with the service description and, where necessary, with consent.
  3. The software does not transmit content that the customer creates with it to 1More unless the service description provides otherwise.

§ 10 End of the License

  1. When a pass or subscription ends, the right of use expires (terms 10.7). The service description determines whether the software then falls back to a free license or is blocked.
  2. Content that the customer has created with the software and stored locally remains with the customer; 1More does not delete it.

Annex 1: Service Description Stagecockpit

As of 30 October 2026

1 Product and Offers

Stagecockpit is software for macOS for use at events. The range of functions is described on the product website stagecockpit.app in the version published at the time of purchase. Stagecockpit is offered exclusively as a pass with a fixed term against a one-time payment; there is no subscription and no automatic renewal. The provisions of the terms on subscriptions therefore do not apply.

  1. Whether consumer or business prices apply depends on the billing details in the customer account. Consumers see total prices including VAT (terms 8.1).
  2. The term of a pass begins with the first activation of the license on a device and ends automatically. The customer buys further passes anew; each purchase has its own full term. The reduced price for further Season licenses applies only within the same purchase. A purchase can comprise up to 5,000 licenses.
  3. Every customer account receives a free Free license. It has the same range of functions as a pass; however, outputs carry a watermark.

2 Licenses and Devices

Device binding under § 4 (3) of the Special License Terms applies to Stagecockpit.

  1. Each license purchased is put on a license key in the customer account: a new one or an existing one the customer chooses at purchase. A license key is not used up and stays in the customer account. Each license may be activated on exactly one device at a time, regardless of how many stages are operated with this device.
  2. Persons do not have to be named.
  3. Device changes are possible without numerical limit: release the license on the previous device in the app, with an internet connection, or through support, then activate it on the new device.

3 Activation and Offline Use

  1. The app is activated with the license key (format SC-…); an internet connection is required for this. The customer portal shows the key.
  2. After activation, the app runs without an internet connection for the offline period from section 1 (7 days for Free, Event and Season). After that, it must connect to the license server once.
  3. The offline period does not extend the term of a pass.
  4. 1More recommends starting the app with an internet connection before an event. Businesses maintain an appropriate fallback for use at events (terms 4.4).

4 Updates, System Requirements and Support

  1. During the term of a pass and for the Free license, 1More provides updates at no extra charge. Upgrades to a new major version are not included.
  2. System requirements: macOS 12 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel processor. Internet connection for activation and thereafter at least once within the offline period.
  3. Support: by e-mail to support@stagecockpit.app, through the support area in the customer portal or in the app through the Help menu, in German and English. There are no fixed support or response times and no emergency contact.

5 Data

  1. On activation and license check, the app transmits the license key, a device identifier, the device name, the platform and the app version (§ 9 of the Special License Terms, privacy policy).
  2. The app regularly asks the update server of 1More for new versions. It sends support requests from the app only when the customer sends them; it saves diagnostic files only on the device.
  3. The app does not transmit any other usage statistics.
  4. The app stores projects, running orders and other customer content only locally on the device; they are not transmitted to 1More.

6 After a Pass Expires

  1. After an Event or Season pass expires, the license key automatically continues as a Free license, with the scope and conditions of Free in section 1, in particular the watermark. The device stays activated; no new key is needed.
  2. The customer can put a new pass on the same license key at any time. If a pass is still running on it, the new one starts when that one ends.
  3. Customer content remains on their device.

7 Open Source Components

The license notices for the open source components contained in Stagecockpit can be accessed in the app under "STAGECOCKPIT > License Notices". The license terms of these components take precedence for them insofar as they are mandatory (terms 7.5).
